We aim to share, values and traditions, inclusive of the discipline, and spread the practice of traditional japanese karate, as it were originally intended. Jka southern cross is an "authorised branch" of the japan karate association world federation (jka), the most prestigious karate association in the world. We are an incorporated, volunteer based organisation. We practice traditional shotokan karate, according to the jka principles. Welcome jka southern cross, australia is a not-for-profit karate organisation, with branches throughout south australia. We welcome adults, children and families who wish to join us.

The Kama that we practice, can be assembled into four main groups’. Suggested Kama Are not Official’, or Prescribed’ Kama but are recommended practice, as they improve precision of punches, and transition in stances.
